My own flowers

Had a go at designing my own flowers to cut on my KNK and thought I would make a card for them. I used papers from the Paper Blossom download from Funky Hands and I printed some on to vellum . I then used the KNK to cut my design and then embossed the flowers to give them some shape. Finally I rubbed matching Whispers dye based ink pads over them to bring out the colour. Tilda and bench were coloured with Lyra Aquacolour crayons and the scalloped mats were also cut from my KNK. The For You 'stamp' is another of my own designs and not a stamp at all. Added some embellishments from my stash to complete the card.

Birthday card for my Sister

Not too sure about this card. It is the first time I have used a Tilda image ( thank you Chrissie, for the image). I used backing paper by Dovecraft and cut the scalloped circles and ovals on my KNK. The Happy Birthday Sister 'stamp' I designed myself and printed out then coloured in with a Sakura pen. Flowers are Flora Doodles with jewelled brads to secure. Tilda was coloured using my Lyra Aquacolor crayons. As I say, I am not too sure, don't know if i have over done it or not!!

Book for jessica

Todays project was to finish a book for my Grand Daughter Jessica. She is 6 years old and has now perfected the art of reading in her mind instead of out loud!! So to celebrate that fact, her Mum asked if I could make her a book to write reviews of the books she has read. She is into the Rainbow Fairy story books at the moment and if I know her she will be reading at least 1 a day!!

The design used clipart from Daisie Company and I bound it together using the split rings decorated with ribbons.

New award

I received this award yesterday from Bev, thank you so much. I wasn't able to do anything about it yesterday as I was in a bit of a state with dental problems. Hopefully I am back on the road to recovery now, better had be or else!!!

Anyway, not sure if there are any rules attached to this wonderful award but i would like to pass it on to Chrissie, Cynthia and Wendy as a thank you for all their help and inspiration.

Another card order

Another card order from my Sister for a special friend at work. Made using white tapestry card for the base and topper and backing paper from Joanna Sheens Fashion Boutique CD. I embossed the panel and the edge of card with the Majestic board. Thought I had better use it seeing as I bought it ages ago. Finished off with a bouquet made with paper flowers and tied with 2 ribbons.

Stationery Box

I might just manage to finish this post before the storm i can see from my window gets too near to safely keep the computer on.
I recently finished a complete desk set, which i decided to donate to my daughter to try and brighten her work area at home. What with a 6 year old daughter who acts like a 36 year old and a nearly 6 month old baby to cope with as well as work from home, I thought she deserved a bit of a treat(!!!) I made the note book very simply with several sheets of paper enclosed with 2 patterned sheets of xard to match the post It Note holder I showed earlier. The stationery box I made after watching the video on Jackie's Addicted to Stamping blog. I used the same Pink Petticoat backing paperto do the cards etc that I had used on the Post It Note holder to try and tie the items together.
