Brillante Weblog Award

Tonight, Cynthia, very kindly honoured me with this award. I am so thrilled at receiving this, thank you so much. I didn't expect an award after only having started this blog a few weeks ago.
So now it has fallen on me to pass this award on to 7 more people. A very hard job as Cynthia has already nominated some of my favourites and I haven't had time to explore very much but here goes. I have had so much inspiration from these ladies, they do such wonderful work with their creations.

Today I have made another project from Chic n' Scratch. This time a post it note holder. The paper used to cover it is from Pink Petticoat and I have used the same paper flowers as on the stamped images box. I really enjoyed making this, it was simple and quick.

Something different.

Thought I would do something a little different this morning. I needed something to put stamped images in so followed a video tutorial from Chic n' Scratch. If you haven't visited Angies blog, please do, she has some wonderful creations along with tutorials.

I used a piece of 12 x 12 scrapbook card from a set by Anna Griffin and added my own printed title along with some paper flowers I got from a stall in my home town. I got loads for £1, had to be the bargain of the year.

Been on a bit of a roll this weekend so hopefully have more to post later.

Get Well card

I made this Get Well card for my sister. The flower is made from a sheet by Tracey on her blog and is mounted on a piece of card embossed with a cuttlebug folder and chalked. This is then mounted on white glitter card and then on shiny blue card. The same with the greeting. I glittered the flower and leaves with my sakura Stardust pens and added a flower gem in the centre.

TEN YEARS AGO

Was working in a shoe shop, which I quite enjoyed. Both my Daughter and Son had moved out ( soon to move back for various reasons I won't go into). Still living in the same house and married to the same lovely man.

FIVE THINGS ON TODAYS TO DO LIST

1. Take my choccy lab for a walk.
2. Go into town for some food for the birds, oh and some for us!
3. Washing.
4. Get Mum's washing dried.
5. Tidy craftroom/ofice.

SNACKS I ENJOY

Crisps, Cashew nuts and any sort of chocolate.

THINGS I WOULD DO IF I WERE A MILLIONAIRE.

Set the kids up with houses and cars. Move to Scotland, to a house we have designed ourselves, preferably next to a sea loch or the sea it'self. If I had enough to live on, it would definitely be the Isle of Mull!!! Help DH to fulfill his dream for wildlife video/photography.

Sunshine And Flowers

This is the first time i have participated in a challenge. This one is for a new weekly challenge on the Joanna Sheen Forum. This week it is Sunshine And Flowers. The images and papers are from the Funky Spring kit from DAISIE Company and I have highlighted the decoupaged flowers and butterflies with my clear Sakura glaze pen. I added just a touch of gold glitter in the centres of the lillies.

2 more cards for the Twins

Made 2 more cards today for my Mum to give to the Twins for their birthday. Made with papers and images from the Girls will be Girls kit from PcCrafter.

Now I have a bit of a gap before another family birthday, so may be able to get on with other things.

Finished at last

Well, my Bind-it-all arrived today, so have now at last been able to finish of the word books. Phew! Quite pleased with them and also pleased with the Bind-it-all too.

Nearly finished my word books for my twin granddaughters' birthday. Just waiting for my bind-it-all to finish it off with.

All the cutting out was done with my KNK, which I am loving when i find the time to play with it that is. All the main letters were glittered and I may add some more ribbon ties to it when I have bound it together. I have shown all the layers but not for each book as apart from the letter they are the same. The lamb and cat images are from Pink Petticoat and all the backing papers were from my stash. The butterflies are peel offs on acetate coloured in with sakura pens. The base of the card was bazzil.

Father's Day Card

Today's card is one I have made for my Father in Law for Father's Day. I used blue mirri card for the base and then layered papers from Joanna Sheen's Victorian Companions Disk 1. The topper was from the matching set, mounted onto gold mirri card. The small words are peel offs on blue mirri card mounted onto gold and the large DAD is cut from gold mirri card on my new KNK and mounted onto blue mirri card. I finished it off with borders of gold peel offs.

Some Pink Petticoat cards

It has been too long since I posted on my blog. Have had a family bereavement so life had got in the way a little.
I did manage to get these 3 cards done. 2 happy Birthday ones for my Sister to choose from for her friend and a sunshine and smiles one for a RAK card. The Flowers are Flora Doodles and the papers and images are all from Pink Petticoat. The colouring in was done with my sakura pens, which i scribbled onto acetate and then applied with a not too wet paint brush.
